Our Scholarship Provider, who is Haugland Learning Center, has been wonderful and has did everything possible to help my child receive exactly what he needs as far as education goes. It has been a pleasure working with them and we are pleased with all they have done for us. We are hoping for a long and successful relationship in the future as well. I highly recommend this Provider to any families affected by ASD. They truly care about what our ASD children need to be more successful in life.

The consultant meets with parents regularly to get input on the program and evaluate progress. The Autism Scholarship can be used to pay for these services (but cannot be used to pay tuition at the private school).

Steps in setting up an outreach program:
1. Parent completes » enrollment paperwork and gets approved for the Autism Scholarship.
2. HLC sends an Educational Consultant to meet with the parents to determine goals, current levels of performance, deficits, etc.
3. The consultant creates a general plan for the program and develops a written Service Estimate, which details the structure of the program for the entire academic year and all associated costs.
4. The consultant presents the Service Estimate (along with any other necessary documentation and/or materials) to the parents for approval (or revision, if necessary).
5. Once the plan is finalized, the parent will sign off on the plan and the program will begin.
The Educational Consultant provides ongoing supervision of the program and will act as the point of contact for the parents and HLC regarding all matters pertaining to the program.
